Winning the Diversity Visa Lottery does not guarantee that you will be one of the fifty five thousand who will be given permanent residency visas each year in the Unites States. As a foreign national, you must first be able to fulfill the requirements that will be asked of you so that you can pass the screening process by the authorities overseeing the Diversity Visa Lottery or Lottery for Green Card.
Otherwise known as the Green Card Lottery, the Diversity Visa Lottery stipulates that a certain set of criteria must be used before a person’s application for permanent residency is approved. One requirement is for the winner of the Lottery for Green Card to be able to present his/her confirmation page info after joining the Diversity Visa Lottery from October-December 2009/2010. Starting from July 1, 2009, whatever standing information that the winner needs for the Diversity Visa Lottery 2010 will be obtainable on the Internet, but only up to June 30, 2010.
All the results and notifications of the Lottery for Green Card are sent by mail to each winning lottery participant’s given mailing address, during the period between May and July 2009. The notifications will all be accompanied by official government letters coming from the U.S. matka result Department of State Kentucky Consular Center (Williamsburg, KY). Absolutely no notifications will be sent via email. Note that the notification letters will also contain supplementary directions and details about other requirements. Through this, the applicant will be informed on what other important documents or forms and immigrant visa application fees he/she has to hand over.
The visas for the final winners of the Diversity Visa Lottery 2010 will be issued starting from October 1, 2009 up till September 30, 2010. All applicants are obliged to obtain what they call a diversity visa or modify status before the fiscal year’s conclusion.
For foreign nationals who were not among the lucky ones to gain a Green Card, they regrettably will not be given any notification. As a solution to this unfortunate circumstance, the E-DV website is now available online for them to assess the status of their entry in the Lottery.
For those who are interested, the Lottery for Green Card will recommence on October, 2010. If you are lucky, you might just be one of the fortunate fifty five thousand who will finally get their U.S. Green Card.
